I have owned only one pair of relatively light/flat running shoes, the Adidas Adizero Adios 3, which have served and suit me really well. I have a pair of spikes which I use for track races, but I'm looking for something similar to the Adios 3 for road runs and non-spike track intervals. I'll likely use them for road races as well, and plan to run a marathon in them as well. I'd prefer not to use a shoe with a plate/whatever it is that makes a 'super shoe'.
I've heard mixed things about the Adios 5. If it is reasonably similar to the Adios 3 in feel and performance then probably it'd be a good option for me. It's on offer currently where I live, so would also not be too expensive.
I might at some point try a Takumi Sen for shorter road races, but I'd guess it is not appropriate for a marathon/day to day quality work?
I'm somewhat reluctant to look beyond Adidas as the Adios 3 fits my foot well and has lasted very well, but I'll consider it if someone has a good suggestion.
