You're right, I made a mistake in that post. I meant DODGY AF. Good looking out, buddy.

AR and world champ. If you think Brazier isn't that good, you are a fool
Well that means he is about as good as Bosse. Tell me, what do you think of Bosse?
if I'm not mistaken, he hasn't run a single 800m outdoors prior to the champs? not sure if that's due to injury, but even at his level, isn't it hard to feel 'race ready' without doing any races leading up to a championship?

Brazier out of the 800, Cheruiyot out of the 1500, Hassan out of the 1500. Some of these events will be a bust in Tokyo, were going to have champions who didn't have to best the very best in their events.
How many events is Hassan supposed to win?
Brazier was jerking his mid-back even more than usual in this final. Something is wrong with his form, must be an injury?

Brazier has been battling injury for the last 3 months but still had the guts to front up and give his all when many other athletes would have just not entered out of fear of damaging their pride/ego. Biggest respect to DB!
I didn't like all the extra stretching he was doing before the race. Even on the starting line. He was obviously concerned. The other thing that "the evil coach" did for him was to give him confidence. Alberto wasn't there to support him mentally and it hurt DB.
I don’t think braizer’s coach was Salazar
Yea yea yea everyone says that’s bs and it was Salazar but I honestly don’t think that Salazar was a great 800 coach so it makes sense
The winner ran low 1:43. Very hot day. Lots of pressure. Just wasn't Brandon's day.

Injured. Just not an attention seeker so tried to tough it out.
I agree. I think he at least tied up. If you look at his stride with 200 to go, he's favoring his right side and it only gets worse down the stretch. Something was definitely not quite right physically.
engels ig story says donny is hurt
Sorry Donovan - not Brandon
Miller not fast enough and Brazier too stressed. Somebody else compared him to Holman. That is a perfect one. They really remind me of one another.
You may be right. Donovan may have been injured though. Looked tight. I don't know for sure. Very good runner who will figure things out and run well in the future.
Blame China
From the start he had a look of concern on his face. Definitely odd he was stretching at the start. Does he usually do this? His stride didn’t look smooth. There was a hitch to his stride and over he didn’t look confident.

Like I said, you have to live and breathe the hurt to stay at the top, especially in the 800 where you have to be sharp every race. Brazier just couldn’t summon the required motivation to hurt at least as much as the others. Clearly he isn’t in his best shape but he definitely should have made this team. He’s going to have to find the hunger and drive to recover from this. Murphy seems to really want a medal, no fear of anyone. And Jewett also not giving a flying f*ck who he was racing…. lions those two.

I think he knew he wasn’t go to be in it.

No sign of injury, just flat. He didn’t even grimace much. He wasn’t in his best shape and he let it fck with his head. That is when you have to weigh how much you want the glory. He needed to psych himself up to just get through the trials and make the team. He would have bought himself a bit of time to sharpen up. The way he gave up in the end you knew he didn’t wanna be there.
This right here. Don't sleep on Murphy. Murphy knew the media had already tagged him as washed up. He is angry.
I really like Brazier. He is 100% pure class and a phenomenal athlete, but I thought the announcers did him dirty with the puff pieces and the hype. That stuff never seems to work out well in track (see Dan & Dave). Brazier was toast at 300 meters and looked like he was really feeling the pain. He was tying up with 400 to go. We have all been there.
I wanted Brazier to win, but I have to admit that I liked seeing the announcers eat crow. I just wish it wasn't at Brazier's expense.

If the runners you mentioned were the best this year, then they would be going to the olympics.
