It has turned to 💩 since the las test update. What gives? It’s pushing me away from wanting to listen to anything as it’s become so slow and just a mess.

I don't understand what you're talking about, my Apple Podcast works very well and without any problems. Maybe you forgot to update to the latest version, or maybe you updated incorrectly?
I totally agree with you Apple Podcast is a terrible app. I have problems with it all the time and I can't listen to podcasts properly while I'm going to work. I don't know what to do anymore, probably switch to another application or make podcasts myself?
Personally, I have no problems with the Apple Podcast because I download all the podcasts in advance or listen to them through an online player. Of course, it happens that the Internet is lagging due to application updates, but there are really no problems. I think you just need to reinstall the application. I wonder how much money people get for making podcasts? Probably it depends on the popularity of the podcast? I'm thinking of starting to make podcasts on random topics with my friends. I have even found a guide that will help me create my podcast here if you are interested https://poddster.com/how-to-start-a-podcast / however, I am still not sure on which platform it is best to start making my podcast. Can you recommend platforms where I can upload podcasts? I know very few platforms for podcasts.
