20 yr old male, PRs of 60, 2:12, 4:49, 10:34, 17:14 from 2 years ago. Also ran a 3:20 marathon 2 years ago. Been on and off running the past few years. Picked it up last November and started running again just 1-2 miles everyday, 7 days a week at 6:30-9:00 pace depending how i felt.
Hadn't run in 4 weeks coming off injury, but the past 2 weeks I haven't been able to run any faster than 9:00. For reference, my heart rate hits 170+ if I go any lower than 9:30. Today I was curious what type of shape I'm in because I can always run in the 5:30s regardless - I missed 12 weeks of running senior year and came back and ran a 5:11. Last summer after not running for 3 months I ran a 5:25.
Past W weeks I've been running 10-15 miles a week and lifting 5 days a week. I know people are gonna say thats too much lifting but I am eating alot of calories as well and eating healthy + resting. And my running Is all relatively easy effort so it should be okay.
I just ran a 7:00 ALL out. I am shocked.
What the hell is wrong with me?
My resting heart rate is low 40s although when I sleep it gets as low as 37. I get decent sleep ~7 hours a night, am not stressed at all. Another thing to mention that I think could somehow be related is that I also have ED sometimes. Sounds embarrassing and no this is not a troll, but it is hard to maintain an erection often.
Could I have heart issues? Low testosterone? Just overtraining?
This mile just shocked the hell out of me and I'm in disbelief right now.
