nobody is threatened by it. it just comes off as attention seeking. nobody cares about what gender nikki hiltz feels like or doesn't feel like.
For a young runner struggling with their identity, having someone like Nikki could mean the world. Nikki came out as a lesbian when I was in undergrad. I was out of the closet at that point and was no longer struggling with my sexuality. However, if I had a gay runner to look up to when I was closeted in high school that would have meant so much to me. Representation matters.
I don't think this is about nikki being a lesbian. We have moved way beyond that.

So because you see it as attention seeking, you feel the need to constantly take shots at her sexuality?
Parading around like the hero of the people, yet you lose at your own game by calling Nikki “the wrong pronoun”. Try to keep up with your leaders, I know it’s hard because they make up new rules every day, but it’s vital that you don’t get left behind!

No, but people should stop making this silly comment. Will happen again tomorrow: “I guess Nikki woke up feeling like a woman this morning!” “Shouldn’t Nikki be disqualified for running against women?!” Lame.
it's not silly. it's just really odd how many men transitioning into women go for the weaker competition. Yet how many are moving up in competition?
nobody thinks nikki should be diqualified, they are just making a point of how silly all of this bs is.
It is in fact absurdly silly. No one actually believes Nikki shouldn’t be in the race.

And you walked right into the trap I set. Thanks for playing.

In making this comment you are disproving your thesis

I don't think so, fat. People don't care what nikki feels like. we do care that we are being forced to somehow take part in those feelings.

How are you being forced to take part?

this is not the gotcha you think it is. lol
They just over-play stories to death. Yes, Nikki is trans-gender and Purrier is from a farm in Vermont. Joe Klecker is also from a running family.
It’s just lazy journalism and announcing on part of Goucher and NBC. They repeat the above loop over and over and over. It would be nice if they could come up with something original.

That's part of living in society. Many of us don't like living with bigots yet here we are.

And thats why i say ban all uniforms so people with mommy parts can run in girls races and leople with daddy parts can run in boys races. After that, who cares what you identify as?
I am only interested in the psychology of Nikki's brain and her past experiences.
Nothing enrages the miserable and insecure more than seeing someone they think should be beneath them thrive.
There is a certain type of person who needs people like Hiltz to be at the bottom of the totem pole so that they themselves don't have to occupy that spot. When they see a transgender individual who not only refuses to be beneath them, but is kicking a$$ and loving life, it sends them into an absolute rage.

I do agree with this. Both are messed up. Like I said, it doesnt have to be complicated or forced on anyone else. But messed up people make it complicated. Spirit of the Age stuff.
Now she is transgender?

bigot. another word that has lost most of it's meaning.
And part of living in society is not having other people's views and feelings smashed down your throat. it is annoying when it is hard right bible thumpers and it is annoying when it is self righteous liberals, activists, etc.

OP your thread is still here. Typical lib, creating things to get mad about.
Is it improper to mention that Hiltz is rounding into fitness right now and is sharper than on the recent past? I would think that above else her performances matter.
