I’m grateful Milesplit does these data regurgitation articles since they are better than nothing, but I wish they at least looked at the results they put out. Too often I see things that just aren’t right or are misleading about what the list purports to show you. It isn’t intentional, they just don’t cross reference data and check their work.
In this example, it lists Hobbs Kessler’s mile PR as 4:14.95.
C’mon guys, pull your data from more than one list and give it a gut check. We know you have all the data.
As another example, they did something like a best 1500 / 2 mile combined times ranking. Why do such an obscure combination? Of all sites, they could easily convert and combine 1500, 1600, and mile and then 3000, 3200, 2 mile data. Check indoor and outdoor to get everything. Then do your comparison. That would actually be really informative rather than just of passing curiosity.
