I wrote on here a few weeks ago about a unique problem with my feet and my supination. I was scanned and all that jazz at a local Fleet Feet. They did a wonderful job and were very kind, and put me in a stability shoe New Balance 860. The shoe was GREAT in the store, but after a few miles walking that night, it was like walking/jogging/running on needles. I tried them for about 30 miles, but couldn't take it any longer. I took them back.
Got put in a pair of neutral Brooks Glycerins, and they were wonderful...except....after the first night I noticed they were rubbing the back of my ankle/achilles tendon raw. Did a few more miles - total of about 8 miles, and the blisters were unbearable on the back - which was a shame, because I LOVED the way they felt on the bottom of my feet. So even though I felt horrible about it - I took them back.
The nice lady happily exchanged them for me - and after I told her that I liked how the NB shoes fit, and didn't rub the back of my foot but hurt the bottom of my foot - she said I needed to try a NB 1080. Just like the first one, but a sole like the Brooks. And in the store - she was right. But after a few miles, it started doing what the first pair did. Lot of pain.
But my other problem is my heel on my right foot moves laterally - my heel slides and ends up feeling like i'm walking on the inside of my heel...even though i'm supinating and walking on the outside of my shoe. So - I went back, and got some heel cups by Tuli. Supposedly - these will keep my heel from sliding laterally. But...they don't. Well - again, it's only my right foot. Left foot is great. Right foot is so frustrating.
I really don't want to take these back for a fourth time...but i'm not sure what else I can do. I tried lacing them differently, tighter, thicker socks....I mean, I guess I could try another insole - but my left foot doesn't need it...but my right foot really does!!! I'm beginning to wonder if these really expensive shoes are even any better, because I don't have this problem walking around in my Crocs!!
Someone please help!!
