He hasn't raced since February. Connect the dots.
Sad. This is turning into the male version of Mary cain.
A change of environment and fresh start is all he needs.
Probably time to enroll at byu. He'd be the youngest frosh there by 2 years with 6 years eligibility.
How many oregon college runners going to oly trials? And how many pro tincans going? (Zero is the answer to the latter!!!)..

Except he is a “pro”.

There is one Tinman in the steeplechase (Barazza), but it’s not a good look that Hunter won’t be there, as he’s the one with the biggest contract by far.
I believe Sydney is running the 5k. My understanding was that he still has to work another job though. By far not the highest paid tinman.

I believe Sydney left the group, read that here so YMMV.
Cain was done after high school. Hunter has dropped a minute off 5k and 7 seconds in 1500 since HS.
This guy made two colossal mistakes:
1. Going pro too early instead of running for Oregon
2. "Moving up" for no reason at all -- he's a 800/1500 man
Anyway, he's done. Career over.
Yes so are basically all of the men's team. They'll game the system like always.
I mean, this is clearly an injury issue. He must be banged up big time if he didn't even throw his name in the hat though. Oofta. Wishing him the best.
His injury history is hardly a glowing endorsement for adidas shoes.
Tinman is more to blame for his injuries than the shoes. He never fixed Drew's form. And somehow his "keep the ball rolling" philosophy injured most of the team.

That’s because they would do all out sprints after a long tempo, or the workouts like 5 x 1200 with the first one at tempo pace and the last one at 4 min mile pace
That’s what happens when you get wrapped up in someone else’s (Tinman’s) BUSINESS MODEL. It is quite naive to think that the Tinman method is optimum for jumping from youth dominance to world class performances.
So you end up with an underperforming group selling merch… and people who went all-in on Tinman and Hunter pushing the super-shoe theory for every new PR set by the crop of young, hungry stars.

More merch drops than athletes in Eugene or Tokyo! Hunter will be busy helping Parsons with merch drops to keep supporting all those guys who can't qualify for the OT. At least this allows them to focus fully on ramping up for Clubs and the next merch drops in late summer without the distraction of Tokyo.

What does “keep the ball rolling” mean in this context? Seems like the boys didn’t keep the ball rolling

Is there a rule against attaching a helium balloon to yourself while running a road race?
