Damn Hunter barely missed the Olympic standard. Reed brown burnt out?
This is also the pure definition of last min desperation
I think hunter is in decent shape with world ranking? 40th in the most recent iteration
oh yeah i forgot about that. He should be good then
Hunter seems to be like Eric Sowinski; can run 1:45 anytime anywhere but may never see the other side of 1:44.
what world ranking would qualify for the Olympics?
And Peralta is a FROSH!

If Hunter was Sowinskis age then maybe you can make the parallel. However, he is young and improving all the time. This was a PB. 2nd one in just a few days.
Been digging into the Oregon teams that are most impressive and seeing how this team really stacks up. It’s pretty even from top tier champions, multiple all time greats, and deep teams across the events. Will be interesting to see how their recruiting seems to go after the OTs and with the new stadium finally activated for all to see.

Did West race at NCAA’s?
Did Mestler?
Glad a few guys were able to sneak under the wire to qualify for the trials. What I'm confused by is why guys from the NCAA 10k weren't accepted into the Trials and these guys were. Does anybody know what the difference is?
were the guys from the 5k accepted?
yeah but he didn't make the finals
Looks like NCAA 5k guys were accepted and their times were updated:

So five or six guys happened to be in the area, and they decided to use the gear left around after NCAA's to run a few races?

He turns 25 in a month, so he's not exactly young.
I would think Hunter will get in he's in the top 55, and the US, Great Britain and Kenya have way more guys ranked than can get in above him
