Heard some interesting rumblings about why he’s really out.
Were they consistent? If you're hearing different stories, you probably didn't get the real low down.

I think it's great that the sport has someone making that kind of salary and a woman on top of that.
I had not heard she was making $600k, thanks.
USC should try to get The North Carolina A & T Coach (Duane Ross) Imagine what he could do with USC Budget and all the Talent he could recruit in Southern California AND Nationally and his son an NCAA Champion in the 400 in an incredible 43.85 and other Athletes now at A & T would almost certainly follow as Athletes often follow top Coaches.

There are no "rumblings". It was clear why he left. He wanted UGA to commit to building new track facilities and UGA would not commit to it.
That does not mean UGA will not. In fact, I bet within a year UGA will have plans for upgraded facilities.

Yup I heard that as well. About 200k more than USC. Yea, some track coaches can make that much. I think it’s ridiculous for a non-revenue sport, but more power to her. Life is going to be good in Georgia with that money.
Why pay Caryl $800k when Petros was only making half that? There must be other good coaches who would take the job for $300k - $400k.
Based on the success she had at USC, she is not a "good" coach, but a GREAT coach.
UGA athletics is not hurting for money.
Tough voting laws
How about that Fred Austin coach. They've had some good performances.

Agreed, IMO she's the best sprints/hurdles coach in the nation.
Living near large universities is expensive. Will not be as cheap as.you think.unless she.commites a.long ways.
