boomers are way older than her
Seems like Joan Samuelson who ran a 3:04 marathon and won the 60 to 64 age group by 9 minutes in 2019 would the fastest the Boomer. If she wanted the 5K world record for 64 years olds, she just break it. However, Lisa is quite fast, too, and deserves a lot of credit to stay in such great shape.

Most are but she is still a boomer per definition.
Without running, I'm not sure how some of you know how to breathe.
Gen X is defined as basically 1961-80 or possibly 81.
Real math puts her birth year at 1964 or 65
That's Gen X.
The BOOMERS had the Gen X kids.
How did you gradua...oh nevermind. Social promotion for the ADHD adult rejects.
There there. She can be a boomer when you're actually sane.

The generally accepted definition of Baby Boomer are those born between 1946 & 1964. Gen X would start at 1965. So, she's right on the edge of the Boomer - Gen X line.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baby_boomersWhat has been defined traditionally as ‘Being A Baby Boomer’ has deliberately been changed in the last few years. Im 57 and born in 1963. During the 1970’s and 80’s when you started to hear that term in the media it always referred to people born IN THE DECADE after the end of WWII period (1945-1955) Then it became between 1945- and the Assassination of JFK-November 1963. Then it moved up again to 1964 as time went on..... it’s BS - I’m am not A Boomer and no one who was born in late 63 or afterwards was ever called a Boomer until recently but those who want to relabel past generations for their convenience. When the film Baby Boomer cam out EVERYONE UNDERSTOOD that they were referring to those born during the Eisenhower years - NOT AFTER!!!!
Ja she will be a Masters world champion for her nation. Das weltmeisterschaften

Where has it been "deliberately changed?" Do you have any evidence to back up your claim? I've researched this considerably and I'm not finding any sites that deviate much from the generally accepted time period of 1946-64. Even on the Gen X sites the general consensus is 1965-81. There are a couple of researchers who suggest pushing it back to 1963 or 1961 but nonetheless the overwhelming majority of researchers say Gen X starts with those born in 1965. I was born in 1961 so I claim Baby Boomer and use as a self-identifier for my BB. If you don't want to be characteristize as a Baby Boomer then call yourself Gen X or something - sheesh no sense in making a Federal case out of it. We're just a couple of aging old stiffs anyway. Lol.

Australia's Krishna Stanton is about to turn 55 and just ran 17:49 (Gun Time). The age grading was 100.28%.
Yes. Growing up I was never considered a Boomer (born in 1959). My older brother and cousins were.
Somewhere along the line I became a Boomer.

Nope. Look it up
this is true. for people born in the 60s. when we heard the term in the 70s or 80s. we knew boomer did not refer to us. It refered to baby boomers after world war 2. The cultural differences between the generations tended to be a bit much. So when the term is applied now by idiots to refer to a huge group of ages, we tend to find it offensive. Since you are turning us into our parents. but lazy fools like to make everyone either millenials or boomers.

Okay Boomer.
Fake news NYT defines the generation as 1946-65. Born in late 50s and have always known I'm a boomer. My wife, whom I have known for 35 years is born in 1961 and has considered herself a boomer as long as I have known here. Never heard of GenX going back to 1960 or 1961. Last year the aforementioned NYT had an article about a sub-generational split in boomers, those born in 1946-55 or so were socially and politically different from the later boomers.
Can't believe some of you dweebs are so up in arms about this! Ha ha, funny.
