Seems like Rachel McArthur always saves her worst race for last.
Is Claudia Lane update?
my thoughts from today:
W1500: Lots of carnage here, surprised Heymach stayed on her feet around that final curve as it looked pretty athletic just for her to stay up. All that for her to trip on her own feet in the final straight. Too bad as she had an incredible pact 12/regional meet, and so much momentum entering NCAAs. Tyynismaa looked rough, diving for the finish barely qualifying, same with Gear who had a ton of work to do. Really unpredictable with Heymach falling, Gear and Tynnismaa looking like they were running all out and Orton failing to advance. Hurta looked great as always but thought there would be more of a challenge from others. Mcarthur seems to be a terrible championship runner, hope she figures that out. Donaghu looked really strong to me, as did Aragon, happy to see her getting back to 2016-2017 fitness.
Steeple: went according to plan for the most part, except Steelman failing to advance. Lightning quick times, and I thought everyone looked really strong. multiple sub 9:30s not out of the question in the final, and I thought Rainsberger looked really smooth, she should make some noise in the final with the likes of Wayment and Kimeli.
800: wtf event of the night. Miller looked rough, Maloney rough as well. Wilkinson looked great, much better than Meyer in my book. Even Barton looked kind of strained, no idea what to think for the final.

Sarah Hendrick for the win. Easy win while chewing gum the entire race.

Who the hell is this woman? Someone please make her stop talking.
Perhaps a few of us should consider giving her some honest feedback via Twitter.
Again! XC championships were baaad. This was so much worse. Wetmore said it - got swallowed up cause her fear of leading made the race slow. The other women wanted fast times. Chewed her up and spit her out the back end to an abysmal 2nd to last. Julia Heymach had an excuse for last place after actually falling and that was sad cause she'sva senior. If Rachel McArthur had played it smart and actually run a smart race she could have made top 5 or even in on 1st & 2nd fastest times!! Let it slip through her fingers & let our money slip away through our pool's money pot. When all those other Buff women move on like Hurta, Boreman, etc we're giving up on CO. Cannot count on that girl to perform - she's a headcase & needs sports psych overhaul. Whetmore not going to be happy. He had quite alot to say about this negative performance alot more than he usually does. Unless they get some solid recruits CO women are in trouble next year. Her scholarship def not getting bigger based on performance. Does Whetmore pay for potential or will he pay more to incoming recruits/transfers who can step up when it counts? Who does CO have on the incoming 2021/22 roster? Disappointing - again!!
