I have the speeds and love them. They’re getting up in mileage and want to buy another pair of V1 as they’re starting to get discounted for the V2 launch.
Current easy day shoe is the Invincible Run.
Speeds were an everyday show are now used mostly just for tempo/fartlek/“track” repeats.
Switching between Invincible and Speed for Saturday long runs depending on if I’m going easy or faster.
So question is, after a year, anyone have a strong preference between the speeds and pros for the above mentioned workouts?
I’m curious if the carbon plate would be any benefit for this type of work, which is fine usually at 6:35-7:45mm. I’m 6’0”, 165lbs, and HM pace is 7:30. Just as reference since zoom flys have always been unresponsive and sucked for me. Could never get fast enough to utilize the plate in them.
Seems like a handful of people comment that the pro is really stiff compared to the speed.
Still COVID restrictions in running stores, so can’t use treadmills in stores and I’d rather not buy from runningwarehouse, use a couple of times and return a used pair of shoes to them, you know?
K. Thanks for any additional insight.
