Sub 4:30 for sure by senior year probably even low 4:20s

More like, it would be interesting to see what she could do for Brosnan As long as kids like the Youngs and Sahlmans show up......
Here's a look at some dream team 1600m California schools
"Rankings: Top 50 Boys 4x1600 Dream Teams"

America's expectations of high school distance runners is extremely low. Jacob Kiplimo ran 13:19 as a 16 year old. Now at 20 he is running 26:33 for 10k. The difference is he isn't running a million college races. Training and rest is the key
Note here that both Sahlman brothers went sub 4:10 and both Young brothers. Whatever the F their team is doing, copy and paste to everyone else please.

He's referencing Rojo and his "Hobbs Kessler ran amazing, but..." posts
He's not saying they are slow, but there are guys running 3:37 who didn't make it to NCAA finals. My sister can run 800 meters in under 4:00, and she's only 10 years old.
It's proof of concept. You have a large hs and get a lot of people to buy into the program. You assign the kids college or even pro level workouts (though, apparently, not huge mileage), and you get it all going with one highly respected, very talented runner who shows everyone else how to follow the program.
Just think if Nico had been held back in grade school. 5 under 4:10.

That’s not true in this case. It’s a large hs getting very few, extremely talented kids and their parents to buy in before they show up on campus. NP has a very small team with very few kids developed with no running background. Slightly different model from somewhere like Great Oak that fits the model you described.

Goldstein and Appleford ran pretty close to sub 4:10 this season as well and might’ve ran under if they didn’t focus on the 3200.

True, and NP already has a 4:43 miler returning next year as a training partner. Where is Sadie planning to attend high school?

Appleford ran 4:14 for 1600, so about 4:16 for the mile. Goldstein ran 4:15 for 1600, so about 4:17 for the mile. 6 or 7 seconds isn’t really close. Not sure what your point is, but neither was a slouch before high school. Goldstein ran 4:41 and Appleford ran 4:52 before high school.
My point was if either the Youngs or Sahlmans had more brothers that were on the team, they would probably have more under 4:10. Do you disagree with this being true?

Goldstein ran 9:00.50 in the 3200m and 4:14.12 1600m , that converts to a 15:63 in the Mile
Appleford ran 8:56.77 in the 3200m and 4:15.51, that converts to 4:16.99 in the Mile
Darn good results and development
Based on their Music City performances, NP is capable of a 4x1600 time of 16:24.99. 17 seconds faster than American Fork's National record time of 16:41....
Sean Brosnan gets it. He is tranforming the way I think about running, well truth be told. Coach Hickey (Saw him speak in Colorado) and Sean. These guys are training hard and they both still get the aerobic side. Brosnan is going to take High School running to a new level. I listened to him speak on a zoom and he carries the room. Tinman was stumbling over himself and Sean was calm cool and collected. Can't wait to see Nico make the Olympic team, Coach Smith will get him there for sure.

Transforming the way you think about running?? In what way? What are your credentials (roughly)? Do you know anything about running in the first place (for reference)?

So that is what is transforming your thinking about running?
ColoradoCulinaryRunner wrote:Brosnan is going to take High School running to a new level.
Can you be more specific as to why? Because he 'gets the aerobic side'??

Can you please provide a link?
