Can’t wait to see the race video! I imagine Miles went out fast AF, and Hobbs was closing HARD over the last 200m?? We’ll see.
Hobbs coming back for the 1600m…
Miles running the open 400m???…
then they meet again in the 800m.
Patrick Byrnes in the mix as well in the 800m.
They will have an additional clock to the mile mark, past 1600 finish today, I believe.
4:16.68 1600 FTW. Meh

Why would he go hard at the state meet when he doesn’t have to? 😂
He’s training to make the Olympics my guy not peak at state.
So dumb....He will c most likely cut it loose in the 800 which is under 90 minutes from there.
Even that may not suit the critics, at this point he shouldn't need to run any unnecessarily wild performances for people to be convinced, the goal of the 1600 changed after the 4 x 8 effort.

That's still a pretty lame result for someone who can run over 20 seconds faster. He could broken the state record and not even gone all out. But whatever who cares I guess.

You. You are the only one who cares. He does not need to prove anything in the state meet. Running against high schoolers for him is like a pro athlete rolling up to a high school meet.

Bummer. He could have been the first person EVER to break 4 in a 1600 race.

Stop being an a$$hole. I'm sure there are many people who came to the meet and are watching it live just to see him. It's not about proving something. It's about putting on a great performance for the audience and running fans. Running a great time and making the Olympics aren't mutually exclusive goals.
He’s about to give them a show in the 800. He was smart to just run to win in the 1600.

I understand, but it would be nice to see a Ryun like performance
any videos of the 16?
It was also too windy , last 400 in 55,x
I see Miles Brown skipped on the 400/800 double. Don’t blame him- not an easy feat, especially if you want to defend your 800m title from 2 years ago. Also watch for something from Titus, who isn’t doubling.
I’d say Hobbs wants to send a message- watch for a kill shot with 200 to go.
Horrible coaching. Why is he doing so much at this meet? He has a legit shot at making the Olympic team, he's currently #3 in the nation.

Dude, he's a high school kid... This is not professional athletics.

To try and break Grant Fishers state meet record of 4 flat that he ran in the rain and wind. But that won’t be happening.
