Furin cleavage sites show up in MANY coronaviruses. You're just making stuff up (or parroting some wacky "news" site.
More than 50%+ of SARS-CoV-2's closest relative have furin sites. Furin sites have independently evolved at least 6 times in nearby coronaviruses.

Thanks for posting this link. Much of the science is frankly over my head, but my takeaway was that while it's not impossible that SARS-CoV-2 occurs naturally, it's still very unlikely. Further, I noticed the unusual phrasing and looked at the authors. There were only two and both are professors at ShanghaiTech U in China. Personally, I wouldn't trust any papers coming out of China on this pandemic.
I suggest you read the following paper that builds a strong case for SARS-CoV-2 being created in a lab. It has multiple authors from around the world. It looks at the natural occurrence theories one by one and discounts them... direct transmission from bats, transmission through intermediate species, and frozen meat. Then, it looks at the extremely unusual structure of the furin cleavage site. Finally, it posits how SARS-CoV-2 could have been created in a lab by "extensive passage in mice with humanized lungs and immune systems."
I understand why China, NIH, EcoHealth Alliance, Fauci, researchers dependent on grants from these organizations, and those with criminal culpability would defend the natural evolution theory, but I don't understand why any reasonable, objective person would discount the lab accident theory and instead defend China's position that SARS-CoV-2 evolved naturally from bats, frozen meat, or an intermediate species.
