disregarding the argument over letting an 11 yr old choose their gender, don’t all the major physical advantages develop during puberty?
if so it really shouldn’t matter who this kid runs with.

What age do you propose then? It’s pretty obvious this won’t be an issue for a single year.

Correct!

Probably your best ever take
So the boy is 'effeminate'? That's quite common.
But wait, he is still XY, and still a boy and can compete with boys. right?
This right wing crap is rubbish, I am left leaning, and this trans stuff is BS,.
You want to be a girl when you are a boy, then wait until you reach the age where they regard you as 'adult', and go ahead, become a woman, dress up, cut your balls off, take it up the backside, who cares what you do, its your life, you only live once.
But...don't use your male advantages when it suits you and that includes sport.
That's when it becomes everybody else's business.
This woke thing is a social media driven invention, along with 'offendedness', when no one offends these lunatics, they become offended on other's behalf.
"Look there's a trans kid that is banned...I am offended."
How has humanity become so moronic?

One of the great "gender bending" gay male pop stars of the 1970s and 80s, Marilyn Peter Robinson, has a message for today's confused young kids being fed the cruel lie that they were "born in the wrong body": Just Be. If only these poor kids' parents would heed his advice.

So this guy is not transgender. His opinion is as worthless as mine.
"Just Be" is exactly what trans kids are trying to do. Just listen to the interview of Evie MacDonald and her mother I posted above. The mother is just letting Evie be herself.

The stories you are citing underscore that many of the people pushing this gender nonsense on kids are themselves extremely religious conservatives from fundamentalist backgrounds - and that one of the their main motivations is deep-seated homophobia.
In the stories I cited, none of the parents are pushing anything on their children. Well, they tried to prevent their kids from transitioning, and they all failed.
If you are against trans girls competing in girls sports because they have natural advantage, that's okay. But you don't have to fabricate any fiction about parents pushing their kids to be trans. That's as absurd as arguing that natural testosterone does not give you any advantage.
This film is now available on Hulu. And you can get a free 30 day trial account to watch it (and anything else available on Hulu).

How about something like this?
11 & under -- no restrictions.
12-15 -- puberty blocker required.
16 & over -- Hormone replacement therapy required.

I don't believe states want to put those types of requirements on minors.
A second grader rolling up a shirt into a halter top has been overly sexualized at an early age, It's no wonder he doesn't know what to do with it as far as gender,....he's a second grader after all.
I could see kids doing that but to have it become a habit , there was something wrong with the messaging they got. Like mom or dad over-reacted , play head games with the kid, or they are around queer stuff a lot.

You are probably right on that.
But from the trans athletes perspective, it's much better than complete ban. And it's also what most trans youths want anyway.
You obviously don’t have a daughters. Oh, and I’d like to see the look on all your moronic faces if Centro decided to run the trials as a women.
I’m with you on that one! I listen to a lot of coverage on this issue and there are often phrases and headlines along the lines of “she is not allowed to compete,” when that is not the case.
