I’m trying to decide between these two shoes for tomorrow’s 3k, which is the most important race of the season.
Spike pair 1:
Very lightweight, but very worn out and one shoe has a hole in it. Almost no energy return, one of my teammates said it felt like a flip flop with spikes in it. It’s held up fine for my previous races though.
Spike pair 2:
Heavier but almost new, worn for a few races in XC with the spikes removed. Good energy return and springiness but even with the spikes back in I can feel them slipping against the track slightly more than pair #1.
