I have used the Kayano series for 10 to 15 years and I am trying to switch to the Brooks Glycerine GTS to get better cushioning (to address plantar fasciitis and general sore feet). I typically walk 3 to 4 times per week at about 4 miles per outing.
I used the Glycerine's yesterday for the first time and developed a blister on my heel. The top of the heel on the Glycerine's is about 1/4 to 1/2" higher than the Kayano's in terms of where it rubs on my heel. Outside of that, they felt great and I would like to make them work if possible.
Does anyone have experience with blister avoidance or adjustment to a shoe that hits a different spot on the heal? If it's just a matter of wearing mole skin on that spot for a few weeks once I feel the soreness start, I can live with that.
