Figured now is as good a time as any to get this going. Anyway could be a very competitive year in the NESCAC with a lot of guys taking the past year off and graduating late (ahem Williams and Amherst).
Top guys individually you obviously gotta give it to Aidan Ryan. After that there is a good fight for top 5 spots between Elias lindgren from Williams, Matt carter and Jeff love from conn, Tyler Morris from Colby, and maybe Travis Martin from trinity but I’m not sure how well he’ll do in an 8K. Maybe Bart rust from bates too but who knows where he has been.
Teamwise again Williams will be the top gun up front. After that it’s a huge fight for the next spots. Conn and Colby had really strong spring seasons and are poised to be in the top 5 (both had event squad 5Ks that were top 20 in the nation this spring, both entirely underclassmen teams). Amherst had practically no guys run this spring so I’m not sure where they are at. Midd didn’t do too great this spring. Tufts had a ton of depth this spring let by Sam gatti, but a lot of inconsistency and no low stick as usual. Bates was also MIA a lot but I think they will be strong by the fall. Bowdoin, Wesleyan, and Hamilton don’t seem to have the low sticks or depth to compete well in the fall. Trinity is a huge toss up.
My pre season prediction:
Team:
1. Williams
2. Colby
3. Conn
4. Amherst
5. Midd
6. Tufts
7. Bates
8. Trinity
9. Hamilton
10. Bowdoin
11. Wesleyan
Individual:
1. Aidan Ryan
2. Elias Lindgren
3. Matt Carter
4. Tyler Morris
5. Jeff Love
