Great clip but why would they put that beautiful woman in that ugly costume?
Man, she can sing!

Joss Stone? Only been known as the white Aretha for 10+ years, but glad you got out from under the rock.

She has sold over 7 Million albums! Everyone and their mom has heard of Joss Stone.
"Hey, I just heard of this great songwriter, Taylor Swift! You probably haven't heard of her but she's got some serious chops!"
Another example, somebody above, mentioned Eva Cassidy and she has sold twice as many albums as Josh Stone but is she well known...do you know her?
Both Joss Stone and Eva Cassidy are very well known among music fans. If anyone has "never heard" of either, they shouldn't call themselves "music fans."

Relax buddy. Many people enjoy music and haven't heard of either. Now no one on this thread has called themselves " music fans". But if they did call themselves "music fans" most normal people would not be upset by it even if they didn't know either artist. It would be okay.
Sorry if that upsets you. But if it makes you sleep better, after reading this thread now all the posters here know of these two artists.
Don't be such a music snob!

Nice try, but op is basically asking about best running shoe no one has heard of and said Saucony.
Allie Sherlock
Lots of great singers in the old country. Very romantic, very empowering !
Eilen Jewell
In case someone knows Alyssa Baker, here is another one.
Tara Ward of Late Tuesday.
Dimash has widest range of any singer in the world.
Allie Sherlock and Fabio Rodrigues. They're buskers. Be prepared to be amazed.
Hmm. I didn't re-listen before posting. Great for buskers, great charisma, but maybe not quite as ravishing as I said. What do you think?
24 million views on her channel homepage. There's something there.

Apples and oranges. How many singers are there in the world, and how many major brands of sneaker. Even people who have never run know Saucony is a sneaker. Until the OP started this thread I didn't know either singer.
I am a fan of music and enjoy listening to it but I don't read about it or study it.
Don't know how contemporary we are talking here, but for many under 40 or so this will likely be "new":

Still enigmatic and elusive 30 years later
Knew of Joss Stone.
Best female singer who sounds like a male singer:
Jasmine Thompson, from England, has done a number of covers of hits from the past. She has an excellent voice. This particular song originally performed by Tears for Fears and then later Gary Jules was covered by her when she was 13. She's now 20 years old. Her recording of the song was used in the movie "American Pastoral" (2016) which was a pretty good movie at the time.

Immediately who I thought of also. She is very well-known within the music industry, but not so much among fans. Died way too young.
This was the last song she ever performed before she died. And she knew it would be her last song. If you are not moved, you are stone.
