I feel like he's starting to look at little Webb-esque so I can't see him above 50.
I'll guess 49.5.
48.8

Sorry for ruining the fun but he ran 50.09. Hard to tell if he ran all out or not.

probably all out. a sub-4 miler should do a lot better than 1:49 in the 8 if they can drop a convincing 49.
49.55

Cheater! It was FTW so might be sub-50 with better comp (yes I it helps even though the 400 is in lanes)
He also ran anchor on the 4x4 for 3rd, no idea what the split was.

Not much to glean from this or his 800 or even his 3200s to me.
More impressive than this pretty obviously is his allegedly closing a "Michigan" in 50.3. Would like to see if he'll do another more serious effort like his 1500 vs. the pros soon.
Not bad, but I bet he can run faster than that.

Meh. 50.1 FAT in a race and 50.3 to end a hard just tells me that the alleged 50.3 was probably with a rolling start and generous "coach" timing. (And perhaps a track without a rail.)
No, your thinking is completely wrong on this.
Of course he can run a 50 from blocks in a low key HS meet, which in his case points to 48 capability on a relay.

Meh to his outkicking the pros in Eugene including Gregorek, Hoppel and Beamish with the fastest last lap in the entire field?

Laughable.
