Elle purrier is on another level this year. Just the third american woman to break 15, 4 and 2 over 5k, 15, and 8 behind houlihan and rowbury

Magnificent achievement. To me she is pure strenght. I would love to know how narrow is her 400m speed reserve in the 800m. I suspect it's pure endurance strenght that enabled her to sub 2 min in 800m.
No break point comes set up. Provably won’t count. Why can’t these meets get these things right?

I agree 800 looks like 1 long sprint for Elle they will have to come get her in the 1500 though because she will drive the pace hard!
Suspicious as your not used to good runners from small non running colleges getting real coaching and working real hard ... she lives on a farm , she’s tough as nails
I wonder if Shelby is a little worried, seeing how well Elle is running approaching the Trials?
I don't think Purrier's ever beaten her. Remember after Purrier ran 4:16 indoors, Houlihan handily defeated her at indoor nationals.
Absolutely love watching this girl run! Just needs to stay mentally strong and keep good tactics. A future Olympian for sure.

She lost weight and gained muscle from her college days. A lot of pro women have body transformations when going pro, it's obvious they are taking thyroid medication. Whether or not they have a legit medical need for it is highly dubious.
It may technically be legal but it's extremely sketchy. People cried when Salazar was doing it, but every pro is doing it.
You guys are very confused. Purrier has had no body transformation. She is advancing exactly as planned in her development as a pro. These are the golden days of US distance running.
Skepticism is fine for breakout record breaking year. You don't just break Mary Slaney's indoor mile record and just get a pass just because she looks like an all American Gal.
2 THE GILLS!!!
How she trains on a farm and doesn't appear to have that gut check moment... she just turns switch on.
What confidence.

yup-NCAA indoor mile champ -solid in cross with multiple all-Americans-ain't like she came out of nowhere, and couple years under her belt as a pro with no significant injures--great to see her doing so well!
And best coach and team. Compare Team Coogs to wishIwasaBoss or Brooks.

You mean her MASSIVE progression from a 4:16 Mile to a 3:58 1500 in 15 months? Lol
Or was it the 4:02 1500 to a 3:58 1500 in 23 months? Lol
Idiots.

Agreed. Coogs seems like a genuine good person (and coach) and he has a classy, above the noise team of up and comers. Brooks is so under the radar I hardly even know who is on the team. Can you explain your reference to team boss...?

I’m in no way claiming she is doping or on thyroid meds, but to say she has had no body transformation is either disingenuous or you’re blind.
Go Elle!
