standing or jogging rest

I prefer standing, I can't stand jogging.
i prefer standing/walking rest. i think jogging rest is overrated in most instances.
I will say that a lot of what I do is by necessity as a high school coach. I have to work with way too many kids different abilities and strengths to let them work jogging rests. I would lose track of them and they certainly do not keep track of themselves.
If it is an aerobic session like mile repeats or cruise intervals, standing recovery with very short time works well. Ex: 5xmile at tempo pace with 60 sec rest
If it is an anaerobic session that builds a lot of lactic acid - longer very light jogging rests help keep your legs from pooling all that gunk: ex - 4x400m @ 800m pace with 600m very slow jog between
Jogging and walk easy rest have shown to be of equal effect and therefore I prefer and use
mostly walk easy rest because then the runner comes back to 120 bpm ( or 60 % of max heartrate) that has shown to be individual perfect after every rep ( The resttime back to 120 bpm gets longer the more reps the runner does). Standing rest isn`t good.
