Based on these 100 vids, Laird will demolish Boling in the 200.
I predicted yesterday laird will probably win by .25 secs or more in the 200m. The 100m will likley be closer, but I'd still give it to laird by a tenth of a second.
Probably it's his genetics but Laird literally looks like he has never been inside of a weight room. This will help him avoid doping accusations in the future. Former WR holder Calvin Smith was "light and fast" like this.
Will Athing Mu get Courtney Okolo's 400 Collegiate record of 49.71? and Sanya Richards USA junior Record of 49.89? Tomorrow I say Yes.
I think she will.

Lol. One would expect the best senior to beat the best freshman??
I just watched Kipsang's obvious riposte to Nuguse and must say I am even more impressed by his effortlessness for 3:36-low against an obviously strong wind.
Although it says Laird's a Junior and Boling is a freshman, Boling is a sophomore and Laird's a senior. But yes, Laird is still older.
Mu's prelim splits were 23.8/25.2 which is extremely low differential for the 400. If she can hit 23.0 in the final she has a solid shot at the record.

Not a chance she can run 23.0 for the first 200 of a 400.

My bad, her splits were 23.8/26.2. So it is a matter of shaving a few tenths from both sides, which seems very doable for her. 23.7/25.9 seems pretty ideal for a 400/800 runner like her.
Do you mean 24.8? Yes she could run a bit faster with a slightly faster first 200, I agree.
I noticed a few mid-long distance runners wearing Next%/Alphafly's - is this allowed then in the NCAA?
That number (23.8) I am confident in...I slowed and stopped frame at 200m.
Is 49.4, 1:56.4 the best American womens 400-800 runner combo of all time?
