A bunch of these guys look like they're doubling in 10-5 or 5-15 so provided there aren't any scratches in the 1500, Sulliman vs Mario Garcia Rono vs Eliud Kipsang could get in the 3:35s or perhaps beyond pretty easily?

damn Everett didn’t make the finals. Hard in a heat w Waleed and Devin Dixon
5 little q's up for grabs and he was in the last heat, knowing exactly how fast he needed to run, with Dixon pacing the first 600m. Can't blame the heat sheets for that one.
I'll add that I thought it was a weird day for the 800.
Heat 1 had no urgency despite obvious implications of the 4 heats, 1 Q each.
LOTS of Rigor Mortis guys in the last 100m. Carnage in every heat. Overall, very heavy positive splits.
Carlton Orange, Devin Dixon both didn't make the finals :(
this happened in the pac 12 too but why are there 50+ entries in the 5k and only the 5k?
it was a time problem not a place problem wrote:

they both made it on time.

Terrence Laird 20.12 legal while shutting it down/clowning 20m early.
Boling with a 20.28 legal while laboring through the line
I got Laird in the SEC, NCAA and silver in Tokyo.
Laird with + 1.8 wind, Boling with 0.4.
Laird not a lock for SEC champ
The wind provided a .06 advantage for laird but he cruised to the finish, and we know he's in 19.8 shape, while Boling is likely not on sub 20 shape yet, he is trying to peak for the trials

Uhhhhhhhh I'm gonna say yes he is. Unless he falls or explodes a hammy.
Never say never. There is pacing in the 200, and you can screw it up.
Not that he will, though. I would bet on Laird, by quite a margin.

He looked like a lock for NCAA indoors after the whipping he gave Boling at SEC indoors, did he not?
Dang - Tyra Gitten almost jumped 7m in the heptathlon long jump (28cm new PB), AND set a new PR in the HJ (1.96m). Set a new overall heptathlon PB en route to winning -6418. She's also doing the open long jump and I see she's on the start list of the 100H prelims (which starts in about 20 minutes, and it coincides with the open LJ) and she has the open HJ tomorrow. Busy girl.
Harrison just jumped 2.33, and another athlete from Tennessee jumped 2.30
His opponent tied him but then he jumped 2.36m
Harrison could win gold in both jumps
He definitely could, I think only barshim can beat him in the high jump.
kipsang kipsanging
That's awesome. He must've seen what Nuguse did yesterday.
Did the CEO scratch from the 1500? I coulda sworn he was on the heatsheets.
CEO was only ever in the 800. i did think his chances were better there, but it wouldve been easy to sign up for the 1500 and drop out if he made the 800 finals.
also the elijah godwin guy from georgia still looks goddamn enormous for someone that good at the 400
