Flagpole, it is frightening to me how much I agree with you on almost EVERYTHING!, Yet we are political opposites? Power to you, brother, I don't wish you ill, one of us is right😒
Gilbert Gottfried. If you don't like his dirty jokes, then check out the maple syrup routine.
Mitch Hedberg.
Emo Phillips.
Robin Williams is garbage. Stream of consciousness from a cokehead, no good material, just 2x speed so "he he he he's talking real fast, hmmm I get that joke from 5 seconds ago now it seems funnier because of the delayed reaction." Only time he ever did it right and engaged the audience in the here and now was the golf routine.
I wish you no ill either, brother. Maybe we are both wrong.
Carry On (Sid James, Kenneth Williams)

British humor was killed by Ben Elton and the import of PC culture from the USA in the 80's.
Now the only funny British comedians are un-pc characters played by comedians supposedly laughing at their backward PC characters - such as Sascha Baron-Cohen and Ricky Gervais. (Both of whom were born on the 90's British version of the Saturday Show which was the epitome of a brief 'lad culture' backlash against PC and feminism ).
Robert Schimmel
D.L. Hughley
Bobby Slayton
Bobby Collins
Click & Clack
Denis Leary
One of my favourites, but definitely an acquired taste

Gilbert Gottfried is another solid choice. He is actually funny and super quick-witted.
Emo Phillips is great in small doses.
Robin Williams was hit or miss with me. Some of his talk show appearances when sitting in the chair were hilarious.
No respect for Rodney Dangerfield? Mitch Hedberg, yes. Sam Kinnison , Richard Pryor too.
James Adomian
Todd Barry
Jason Mantzoukas

None really. I do not regard people like this.
Sometimes people calling themselves 'comedians' do other things too rough around the edges for politically correct entertainment. These are more pundits who cover their a**es with the label of comedian.
Joe Pesci's character Tommy DeVito in Goodfellas gets my vote. He's funny like a clown. He amuses me.

Nainan got caught pretending to be 35 when he was really 55 so he could market himself as a millenial comedian. He has only been able to book corporate gigs and had long running feuds with working club comics.

I see no one has mentioned Sam Kinison, lol. I used to have a boss that idolized him, and holy crap was he a retarded douchebag. Barf.
I would add Carol Burnett and Lily Tomlin to the list of female comedians. The reason there aren't many more good female comedians is because their material usually revolves around their vagina and man-hating. Kinda hard to stretch that material very far.

Both are outrageously funny.
Steven Wright - a paraprosdokian genius. I was at Ding Ho's the night he was discovered by a Tonight Show producer in 1982.
Martin Lawrence - Not really funny, but I was his lifeguard in Landover, MD when he was 10 years old.
Steven Wright and Rodney Dangerfield are my favorites. Redd Foxx was also a hoot, as was Leslie Nielsen.
Des Linden: "The entire sport" has changed since she first started running Boston.
