This Golden Goose thing is news to me...can some one explain?
Are these really discarded used sneakers that were $120 brand new, that are cleaned, stylized and rebranded and then sold at over $500 a pair? And they are popular? I am not hating, and I am all about recycling, but I have never seen a pair of these before. I had no idea people would pay this kind of money for rebranded, used shoes that were originally 1/5 that price.
As far as I know, they're not used. They're designed like that. They were kind of cute when first designed with just scuff marks and duct tape, when distressed jeans and jeans with giant holes were coming into style. I would never buy them for that much, but now they are an awful fashion victim kind of statement since everyone knows how expensive they are and have gotten uglier and uglier. They have poor support but people do buy them. They were in vogue in private schools (high school) and my grown-ass friend who has a stylist has them.
