Anybody know the scoop on Jennings? Is he on "The Farm", or what? Just curious about what one of the very best American runners is up to.

I think he's up to the same-old same-old...
Conversating with his body, fasting to cleanse the toxins, using his au naturelle pair of sunglasses (squinting while running), and your everyday being in touch with the beginning and end of the universe sort of stuff.
Good, then he's probably on track to bust a sub 3:50 any day.
...you forgot to mention the extended gazing through sacred geometrical forms overlying da vinci's Vitruvian man, the result being a steadily growing awareness of the body, which moves one on a theoretical scale further away from complete paralyzation of the body and closer towards moving at the speed of thought. Then there is also the rewiring of the brain so that instead of sending out energy, analogous to DC, it now accepts energy, similar to AC, which allows for a more focused pulse of energy with each footcaress, and a greater amount of rest time in between pulses, as well as a realignment of the spine so that one looks like an aroused cobra ready to kill. What else are we forgetting?
an "aroused" cobra huh? Wonder what it's going to strike.
Legalizit,
Dude, you are consistently the funniest one on here. I do hope you aren't killing those brain cells though.

It's odd, though possibly a blessing in the long term, that my most cherished thoughts, discoveries, or revelations tend to elicit the greatest laughter/opposition. That it can be hard to tell if I'm serious or not leads me to believe there is a niche waiting to be filled somewhere out there. Stepay, I wonder if you would have thought it was funny like "ha ha" or funny like "oh no, that's a shame..." had you seen me yesterday at this little coffee shop. I was in full facial-scrunch/squint-eye/cobra-pose/taking less than one breath a minute mode and effectively stared at one point of the Vitruvian man for just over 30 minutes, which is about my limit right now. I didn't move once, and this fierce focus was sucking the energy from the concentration of the others in the place. There were two teenage girls that couldn't stop laughing, the guy sitting next to me couldn't stop fidgeting and eventually had to move, and the people working there told one customer in a really quiet voice "He's OK, it's like this each time he's in...it's weird because he orders everything totally normal, then he turns into a rock staring at the same page." Stepay, hopefully you'll try gazing through one fixed point for 20+minutes in a heavily populated public place, you'll see i'm on to something, as opposed to just being on something.
...Anyways, why is it that nobody ever seems to know what Gabe Jennings is really doing, it always seems to be speculation.
Legalizit, I would say that you must not tend to tell me people (in your running circles) what you're up to. Ironic that the two girls were uncontrollably laughing at one of our best milers. I know you didn't ask me, but I'd say it's a lot closer to "ha ha" funny than the other. It is really more like "wow, now that's amusing". The intrigue factor is hightened in that the more you write about these thoughts and ideas, the more credible your authenticity. Now that's a riot! You're one of those ultra-talented eccentric types! Best of luck in all your endeavors.. 1 hour of pure Vitruvian man and sub-3:50.
Letsrunner, are you saying Legalizit is an elite miler who has assumed a secret identity on this forum?
SI, wow your pretty quick. Just kidding. As long as Legalizit keeps it a secret on this forum, then we'll never know for sure (even if he confirms or denies to me personally, which he ought to do, his identity - either way - will not be compromised). I could go into why I have said the above, but that would take too long.
I agree. Legalizit is Gabe. Based on his comments on other threads, it makes sense.
Gabe, your laser-like focus sounds like an exercise from
Gurdjieff. The goal of all trancending exercises is freedom
from the known, the erosion of ego, and termination of the
waking sleep.
Your message is almost sidhartha like, very inspiring, I too have done energy work on a novice level and really appreciate your posts. The green thumb is what first helped to activate the third eye.
Legalizit,
I am looking forward to when the following becomes a reality...

gabe's future Posted 5-23-2002 18:36
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
it's good to see some talk of gabe here, the board has been getting a bit stale lately. i agree that he has huge potential in the 5000, though ultimately his event will be the marathon. this should be evident from his turnover alone which would probably project him at taking about 20% more steps than someone of equal height to him, which is a substantial drop in workload per step. i could see gabe setting a world record in the marathon. here is how it goes...he bombs in the 2004 olympics and everybody says he is washed up. he searches, as he is right now, and finds that his body is not as pure as he had thought. he seeks out the way of purifying his Self through a diet of pure air, water, food, and thought. he finds that little or no training is neccesary once his body is pure, but he still runs occasionally as a moving meditation. come 2008 he decides to run the olympic marathon and hits the qualifying standard with ease because he was holding everything back. then in the olympic marathon he sets a world record by about a minute, causing quite an uproar in the process as he strips down after the first mile and runs in honor of the body by wearing nothing. gabe becomes a spiritual leader afterwards and helps to awaken the globe to the fact that exercise cleanses the body and helps awaken the sleeping serpent within us all.
He will not become a spiritual leader until he does the
work
He will not become a world class runner until he does the
work.
I have an ego, but I am not that ego. I have a body, but I
am not that body. I have a mind, but I am not that mind.
The ego drives the body to a 3:45 mile. But he is neither.
Attachment pulls him back to identifying as that person,
that personality, that body and that 3:45 mile.
Legalizit,
No worries mate. I'd never laugh at you. Sometimes it is pure joy that makes us laugh and smile. When I said you were the funniest, I truly meant it as a compliment. I realize you weren't trying to be funny, but I can still find humor in your posts and not have any ill feelings toward you. A breath of fresh air you are my man. Peace brother. Just get ready to drum.
