During this short track season due to covid my coach and I have gotten in some pretty big arguments over the past 4 weeks. First he was mad cause I didn't want to 16x200 @30-31 because I had just raced on Saturday for xc and we were just getting transitioned into track. Then I asked him for more volume because I a endurance guy not a speed guy and he practically said his way is best but his philosophy is just 5 days of speed work(5practice days of school.) Race on Saturday. It's hard to do volume in the morning because it's hard to already recover from all of the workouts. Yesterday he told me I was scratched from the 1500 and so all I had was the 4x400 now and then last second he yells at me to get on the line with no warm up or uniform and made me run the race, complete and utter disrespect cause I could've gotten hurt so easy and who does that?? He then proceeded to yell at me after and practically told me off. At this point during the covid year I kind of just want to quit and find open races to run in while having a personal coach train me who has coached me to faster times than my high school coach anyways. What should I do? I am a junior in high school, I am interested in schools so would this affect my college process?
