Spoken like a loser. Track is about racing. Teare could learn that.
it is difficult to trust. he knows if he goes to the front he is going to be in contention and finish 1-3. if you don't make this move, you can get boxed. It is difficult to play it in the middle. In a race like this with 8 fast guys, if you're not in the front, you risk getting stuck behind all those guys who were bunched up for 1000+meters.
and when that happens, you better be prepared to come out with a 53/54 to close. or faster in a race that sits.

I thought you were talking about him getting outkicked by Hocker every week.
If he wants fast times, same thing. Simply don't take the lead, and hope someone else steps up.
Better yet... Run at a lower level meet with a teammate pacing him.

they did have teammates pacing for 800 or 1000 meters last night. something like that. past that he needs to do the work. if you don't have the speed to work your way out of a box, this is what you need to do, or risk getting outkicked by guys who are inferior compared to what you are capable of running in the event.
He needs to listen to 42 Dugg "For the gang." If he does this, he can make the olympics this year. That is the absolute X Factor.
