55.6-8 last laps for the trio as they finish the Oregon Twilight in 3:35.96, 3:35.97, and 3:36.47
Will they take one more shot at the standard?

I mean they kinda have to don’t they?
No, not unless the NCAA final is blazing fast.
As much as I believed one month ago, I don't think Cole Hocker is the next Kenenisa Bekele
If you're curious to see how this compares to Centro's 11, I have both seasons here

unless they enter a last chance meet or do the sound running meet next week instead of their conference champs, then no
doubt they race again besides conference and ncaa regionals/final, but oregon is deep enough they could have guys rabbit and chase times at PAC-12s if they really wanted to
Wheating was so damn good. Thats before super shoes too
Yep, thank Rojo for suggesting that addition and the race number column. His 2010 and Centro's 2011 are incredible
Even more impressive to me, though, are Hoppel and Murphy... they ran over 30 races!

if your nuguse you have to, he doesn't have enough races for top 45 world ranking. find a teammate to pace at conference.

No
Hocker should be good, he will be in the next rankings likely 33 in the world and should be in a good position to qualify with that. If he finishes top 3 at the trials and the race isn't horrendously slow that could also give him a big points bump.
Teare is also in okay shape, he only has 4 races in the mile/1500 but he would get a fifth at the trials and his current 4 races would average out to about 1195, which would put him right around Hocker. If he finished third at the trials in 3:42 or faster he would maintain that score.
Nuguse has almost no races since he didn't run indoor. I guess he will have five by the trials but many will likely be slow and tactical.

Nuguse should have to no? He’s not going to be high enough in the rankings?
Racing Sound Running's Track Meet next Saturday (5/15) in Irvine, CA is actually a (somewhat) viable option for Teare & Hocker since the Pac-12 meet is being held that weekend just up the road a few miles at USC.
Here is the Pac-12 schedule:
https://static.pac-12.com/sports/trackfield/pdf/2021/2021_pac_12_championships_track_schedule.pdf
They could run the Pac-12 1500 prelims on Friday, race either the 1500 or 5k on Saturday in Irvine, then return to USC for the 1500 finals on Sunday.
Or, they could race the Track Meet on Saturday then run the Pac-12 5k on Sunday.

Or why not skip the Pac-12 entirely? Do conferences meets actually count for anything anymore? I don't care how little effort they have to exert, a race is a race, and each one adds up.

When has Bekele ran a 3:50 mile? Esp indoors? Wasn't Cole's day today but he's most definitely already faster than Bekele who runs the slower distances.

Bekele: 3:32.35. not bad.

also a 4:49.99 indoor 2k. This must be something like 3:53 mile pace...and then holding for another 391 meters!
Extrapolation doesn't work. Otherwise Rupp would be a 12:48 runner.
Has to have run a 1500 or mile.
Also, Cole is faster than Musagal, Cheptegei, & Brazier at the moment, who by the way were proclaimed by certain letsrun experts to either be able to come close to or take away the 1500WR at some near point. Are they never going to be Bekele's either?
