Hey all, I was wondering if it would be possible to run a sub 1:22 600 meter time senior year. For reference I am a junior whose PR is 1:30, 400m time is 55, and 800m time is 2:05, if that's of any help.

You can get a lot better in a year in high school.
You would need about a 51 400m, and/or 1:55 800m time do run a 1:22.
Source: I was a 50.0i/1:21i/1:53i guy at one point.
Focus on getting sub 2:00 and sub 53 this year
Then maybe in a year you’ll be around 51 1:55 and you can do it
Who races a 600m?

HS indoor track, some state(s) got 300m, 600m, 1000m, mile. It was cool man. There would be like 25 heats of the 300, final place based on time. Some dude would occasionally kill his heat and end up like 5th overall from the 7th seeded heat. This was in the 90s, I dunno what's going on these days.

still the same. it's awesome. it's a nice break to separate indoor from outdoor.
In Virginia we do the 300/500/1000 indoor and I always loved dropping down to the 500 the season before racing primarily 800/1600.
To the OP, the way you are going to get to a 1:22 is by focusing primarily on dropping your 400 time. Are you doing any lower body weight training or spring training with resistance?
somebody already spelled it out. you want a 1:22, you need to run AT LEAST 51/1:55
My credentials on this.
600m: 1:19.96 (PR) college
400m: 49.24
800m: 1:52.05
Mile: 4:01.89
At the moment I am doing a lot of speed workouts (200, 400, 600 repeats hard), and going out for 3-4 mile runs, but I will try to incorporate weight training
