I have had a injury that has progressively gotten worse. It started off slowly in mid March and now it has progressed to back pain. I had to cut back in April. No missed time, but the workouts and all running has had to be on the grass. I did one session a week, shorter reps, but barely any recovery, so basically a continuous session, with a float recovery. Besides those sessions, and two doubles a week for 1/2 the month, and no long runs that has been my training for the last month. I have a solid training block built up since November. If l just do short easy runs and one fast session with a short recovery( basically a continuous run) can l maintain my fitness till this injury passes? Because l can't get away with much more running now.
Not much, if any. Maybe you won't be in 100% goal race peak shape, but close enough to get there if you can take care of the injury.
