I'm in probably 1:58 shape right now. I could also run roughly 53 high-54 low in the 4.
What I've noticed in the past couple races (400 and 800) I've ran is that the last 100-80m or so I find it hard to turnover. My breathing is fine, form isn't falling apart, but legs just feel really slow...Weirdest part is I'm not feeling swamped with lactate, just start slowing down.
I'm more of a 800-1600 guy than a 800-400 guy, and a couple weekends a go I split 2:00 running 59.3 and 61.49. Usually I make a big move on the back straight and try to pass people before the curve so I have a straight shot for the line.
There's a big invite this weekend and I'm taking it real easy training wise to help my legs recover. Should I just go out in 57-58 and see what happens?
