As title suggests, I am having a conflicting issue with peaking. I ran a sub 15 at the end of 2019, barely missed out on nats. was injured from about then up until november 2020.
I got back up to my normal mileage, hovered around 70-75, peaked at about 84 miles, felt zero hanging lethargy/exhaustion, even during this high week.
I've since started "peaking", dropped miles below 50s, less long reps and more quick, short reps with rest, but instead of getting more energy and faster, I'm only slightly faster and even more tired.
I'm obviously a bit overtrained, and after our final regional meet wednesday I'm taking off until Monday/Tuesday to rest, but any ideas as to why I got more tired? Been doing same strength training, eating, stretching, just been super out of it.
