I remember when Elliot Heath closed bunch of collegiate races with insane kicks. Nobody could match him. As we all know, he eventually went on to win Olympic gold and everyone who doubted his prowess on the world stage was humiliated!

You want to call it mental illness because you want what you want when you want it and how you want it and deep down, you don't care who gets sick or dies because you want to race.
If you do get someone sick, yourself, you're the kind to say...hey dude, life has risks.
It's infinitely more mentally ill to not care about people in order for you to something so insignificant to society as racing and it's even worse at your level where you stand nothing to gain except a padding of your ego which you must desperately need since you're not good enough to be meaningful to anyone else.
Fraud.

Truth serum hurts as a taste of your own medicine, huh?
Buck up, bucko.
Lol. "In a slow final" - Timothy Cheruiyot is gonna be in the final. If you want gold you're going to have to break 3:30.
Let's see if the kid can win trials before we proclaim him a gold medal candidate.

No one should wear a mask when exercising - even the WHO states this, so the fact that you promote wearing any mask, let alone two, is ridiculous. Masks were never recommended for use by the healthy, general public and promoting the idea that runners should be wearing them is not supported by previous research or accepted public health policy - not to mention that any potential benefit a mask may offer is rendered moot once the mask becomes damp or wet from condensation or sweat. It also completely disregards the very real potential harms of exercising in a mask.
Why are you people even wearing a mask while running to begin with? You must really have to be full of such fear and compliance to the CDC that you even have to mask up. This article is only promoting fear and skepticism.
Me thinks you just really hate yourself Mr. Smith. This past year has really been about the self loathing projecting their feelings of inadequacy on everyone.
Wrong! This past year has been about people like me wanting people like you to be just a bit less selfish. Our frustration is that people like you can't see how selfish you are because you surround yourself with a smokescreen of only people who validate your opinion because they have similar selfish desires. It doesn't look good, Narcissus. It doesn't look good.
👏
Op - your opinion on this was shown to be spot on with respect to the OT thus far, outkicking Centro in the home stretch and also getting himself into position to unleash it, in spite of being boxed-in earlier in the race.
Some of the responses to your post were downright embarrassing to read. Frankly: apologies from some are due.
He is far from being the best 1500m runner even if he has one of the top finishing kicks. That means he has a chance to medal, if the race is slow. In a way, Hocker needs races to play just like they did for Mo Farah in many 5k/10k races in the past. A solid runner and a great kicker, but if the race strategy set by Ingenbritsen (or Cheruiyot if he runs) is better than they did in the past in Mo farah races, there is no way Hocker will win. These guys are just superior runners. And dont forget the unknown kenyans who won their trails. Their kicks might well be on pair with Hocker's. Then there's the Ethiopians. What I am trying to say is: if the race is fast, Hocker doesn't medal. If the race is perfect for him, he has good chances of medalling because his kick is so good, but that is still not a lock.
3 months ago. But yea, everyone "hates" him.
