Donovan, no scholarship offer from Oregon? Should have walked on. Your talent would have quickly earned you a scholarship. Worked for me back in the early 70's.

I don’t think Donovan Brazier is questioning where he went to college. He ended up making a rather nice career for himself haha.

What was the price for you to go to college in the 70s versus what Brazier would have had to pay out of state to run at Oregon?
Besides the obvious, if you're a good recruit, it's important to connect with coaches during the recruiting process. He clearly fit in well at A+M and seems to have had a good experience.
I honestly don't get this.
In fact, I love that that fuels him a little now.
If it was a financial issue, I can understand why Donovan didn't walk on. My dad made a huge sacrifice paying out of state tuition my first year at Oregon.. At a meet at SDSU he asked, "Are you going to be on scholarship next year?" I responded, "I think so." He said, "Well you better be, because I'm out of money. How's Vietnam sound?" Vietnam didn't sound very good. The war was still going on and so was the draft.
