How do you like that Horizon, I'm thinking about getting the same one. Lifetime warranty on the frame and supposed to be a top choice for interval training but I'd like to hear opinions from anyone who actually owns one.
So...the treadmill itself is fantastic. Changes speeds in 3 seconds, which is just lightning quick compared to other treadmills. Speeds are accurate and consistent.
I like the quick change handles. They are perfectly placed for me (as a 5'4" runner) - out of the way when I am running, but within easy reach. Which means that they are awkwardly placed for someone taller than me. I've read several complaints of taller runners brushing the handles as they swing their arms, and changing their pace.
If you are handy, you can get around that by relocating the handles - on Slowtwitch on the Horizon Treadmill thread there's a description of how to do that.
I would advise that Horizon had AWFUL customer service issues over the winter. If you had any issue, be it a repair or your treadmill not delivered, they were impossible to reach. Their phone number directed you to email them, their website chat function was mostly disabled, and they didn't respond to social media posts. If you contacted them by email, you received an on-line response advising a 10 business day response time. It took me 7 weeks to get a broken incline motor replaced under warranty.
I would check social media to see if there are recent (within the past month) complaints to the same effect. If so, then maybe look elsewhere. It's a wonderful treadmill when you receive it and it works. But if you have any issues with it, then you've got a hard road ahead of you.
