Agreed, you still need to address your mental health. Running injuries are inevitable and you need to be prepared for them to happen again.

Brother i know how you feel infact, im going through a similar moment right now.
What you need to know is you will never be fulfilled or happy in this life, there will always be ups and downs. I'm not getting religious for this is truth. God does exist, suffering exist because there is righteousness.

I really do appreciate the OP posting this thread, because I have been pretty down the last week since having some really bad ITBS (as you can tell from my name on here this week).
And I appreciate the post quoted above because it's important to acknowledge that having such extreme feelings about a very temporary condition, such as a minor injury that threatens daily running, is not healthy. For me, I know I need to meditate, talk about my anger and stress with someone else, seek outside medical help to identify the physical issue and rehab it, and talk to a counselor or therapist.
This is how I feel right now. One injury after another and I've barely run 200 miles in 8 months.
Make sure that you are getting at least 1g of animal protein per pound of bodyweight per day (2g/kg/day). Most compulsive.runners with injury and.mental issues do not do this.
You must provide the building blocks for cellular regeneration, above all.
