I ran XC in college, but haven’t put serious miles in racing since then. Since 2016 I have always ran in the summer with 30 minute runs here and there and getting around 10 to 15 miles a week. The past month I have been doing 40 to 50 miles a week with 10 mile runs and 1 or 2 runs of 5 miles. I started out running the 10 mile runs at a little over 10 minute pace, but now I’m at 8:30 pace for a 10 mile run. My goal is to be ready to race my goal 5K in September. Any thoughts?
