I think he's focusing on the 5000m and it looks like they only ran a U20 race. Surprised to not see Olli Hoare in the 1500m, though.
The 5000m championships were part of the Sydney Track Classics back in march.
I don't think any US based athletes were at the Nationals this week, most notably no Jessica Hull.
Jess Hull is auto selected from winning the national title last year, so didn't need to come back and contend I think

Yeah, I believe they have to quarantine for 2 weeks in a hotel upon arrival in AUS.. which is probably why Charlie Hunter decided not to go back and contest the 800m. (I'm guessing here)
