Any one score any cool running memorabilia or anything else cool at garage sales? I have an uncle who claims that he is constantly finding good, cheap stuff. I may give it a shot..

I bought Cowboy Angst, a book written by a former roommate of mine, at a yard sale. Holy serendipity, Batman!
Been hitting yard sales for a long time......
Elvis Prestley Sun Recordings (CD) a buck
H.P.Lovecraft "Lurking Fear" a first edition, a buck
Dan Marino Rookie Card in mint condition.....3 bucks (Google the price now)
TONS and TONS of CD's .....50cents, a buck
I don't care who the author is, hell...Hemingway, Poe, Tolstoy, Steinbeck, Hesse, Louis L' Amour, Asimov, Heinlien....quarter, 50cents.
I won't buy clothes or anything ya have to plug in at a yard sale. For obvious reasons.
I grew up in Cambridge MA. I ran more Fresh Pond Fun Runs than I can remember. They are Saturday morning year round. And Thursday evenings in Spring & Summer. Back in the 80's (& a long time before than) Fred Brown held court at the Saturday races. He was a real character. After he passed they named the Lake Winnipesaukee race after him. A few years back I found a mug from that race for a quarter. It brings a smile to my face every time I drink out of it.
