I'm a millennial so didn't get to buy a huge home in the 70s or 80s on an entry level single family wage like the boomers
Finally feel like I can buy a modest starter home in school district without metal detectors that isn't 2 hrs commute away(barely afford it though).
Finally feel OK buying a modest non luxury newer to new car and not feeling stressed or guilty driving it(new cars are like 30 to 40k for random non leather seat Hondas nowadays).
Not stressed about healthcare costs for a family of 4.
Not stressed about the over 1k monthly costs to feed that family.
If my son needs new shoes for soccer practice I'm not frugally looking for deals to feel comfortable doing so.
Can save for retirement.
Not even trolling. Like many, a significant portion of my total comp is in bonuses and rsus (300k bases are less common). After all the blue state taxes that doesn't leave a huge amount monthly to work with upfront.
Finally feel like I can live a comfortable life in the usa.
