How accurate is Mile Split? Just curious. Hard to trust anything on line.

It depends on what you are looking at. For some of the rankings you can choose to include only FAT times with wind indiators. I think those results would be relatively accurate. Human error (starting at the wrong line, not catching someone running out of their lane on the curve, etc.) are still possible sources of efforts that shouldn't be included, but could be.
It also depends on including all results for a given state. I can't speak about other states, but I feel confident that no major meet would ever be omitted for anything more than a couple days.
There was a tiff between a major timing group and milesplit where the timing group made it difficult to import their results. I suppose that could be occuring and cause delays, but milesplit seemed to eventually overcome those difficulties and have even resolved the differences that resulted in the problem.
I'm not sure why anyone would need a list that is perfectly accurate for high school T & F.
Milesplit has always been an inferior product. Distance Running & Track have been starved of recognition since the beginning of the modern conception of it as a sport. Milesplit just happens to be one of a few things out there to catch results these days but with sincere limitations.
But make no mistake, unless it is picture perfect hytek in clean text format Milesplit has a hard time capturing data. For those programs abiding by strict budgets/budget cuts and self timing meets, Milesplit wont be able to read your data. The subordinates on the platform (bloggers, reporters) are all genuine people trying to make names for themselves and mainly because they have nothing else going on sadly.
Milesplit is what it is, the top 100s and 1000s they put out, rankings, etc are rare hits and usual misses. They only get about 30% of the data but because 90% of PRs are set at the end of the season (state, regions) then it looks okay at the end. But the day to day is treacherous and if youre an experienced user you should be able to witness rendering mishaps often on the platform.
