This doesn't make sense. The pacing was very consistent and right on pace to match her PR. The wheels just came off the last 2 laps.
If she does not improve from the 15:47 soon then it's time to start to worry (again). The first real double takes started her senior year in HS when she did not improve (or equal) from her Junior year X-C when she ran 13:21 at 4K VCP in NYC and 16:21 at 5K Holmdel in NJ.
Everybody started looking at everything then. Give her another month or so to see if she "starts to get over the injury" and let's see if she starts showing any of the promise generated by her HS years.
IMHO she will make a bunch of All America Teams but may not be the once in a generation talent everybody expected after observing her in HS.
