Hi all, I had an MRI about 3 months ago which showed swelling in my superior pubic rami next to the pubic symphysis. I had a bad doctor who told me I could keep running on it and that this was “normal”. I did up 20-30 miles per week for about 2 months and biked the rest of the time. I was still in significant pain and it was only getting worse so I was sent to a hip specialist who read my MRI and diagnosed me with osteitis pubis. He said a month with just non weight bearing exercise and PT. I read this injury can take 6 months MINIMUM and up to 2 years to heal. Has anyone recovered faster than this? I desperately want to start training for my last collegiate XC season in the summer. Also has anyone cross trained through this? I’ve read mixed things about cross training with O.P.
