Hmmm, I guess Fasuba was 5-9
But no really short guys—not 5-1, but not even some “male equivalent” like maybe 5-3

Cason, frater, oduduru and maybe nesta Carter are under 5'8
The girl was vomiting like crazy after the race.
Reminds me of Pharmelita in 2009, over hyped.
Arthur Cisse (9.93) from Cote D’Ivoire is 5’6 apparently. Still looking. I feel like there could be some short 60m specialists
Richardson was? Wtf
Yep. After the interview she walked over to the Red Bull bin. Then she started to throw up.
She was loaded to the gills. When girls venture into the 10.70s, you have to keep an eye open.

what does doping have to do with growing up?
Yeah for sure. What’s testing like now that things in the US are opening up?

Yeah, good catch.
But none of these guys are at the very top, like SAFP and Richardson

You think 5’3” is the “male equivalent” of a 5’1” woman? It is not.
The shortest sprinters, talking under 5.8
Percy Williams 1928 Olympic gold 100/200
Eddie Tolan 1932 Olympic gold
Ira Murchison Olympian/WR 10.1
Mel Pender Olympian WR 50/60/70
DeAngelo Cherry sub 10.10
Bobby Turner a 9,3 cat out of CPSLO, tiny little guy
Trindon Holiday 10,00 NFL
Anat Ratanopol 10,2ish
Buddy Young NCAA/AAU a 5-4 NFLer
Gale Sayers older bro Roger (once beat Bob Hayes) was a world ranked cat, he was short, just not sure how short.
Think that's about it.
Check out the short dude, that is Mel Pender, all of his races looked like that, he gets a great start, is leading at 60, then his lack pf stride/speed endurance and we get what we saw there.

5'6 is the equivalent, like Cisse

Yeah, even a smidgeon taller perhaps (fraction of an inch). Seems like +5.5” is a fair female to male conversion, though maybe slightly less on the short side and slightly more on the tall side.
Hope she doesn’t get burnt out again. Not sure how any woman can run a 10.7 a year before and be considered a “fluke”.
Awesome to see. I don’t know who else will be on the team with her. She’s our only hope. Maybe Tamari can join her on the team.

Actually, there are lots of 5’1” guys around the world. Even among Africans you have the Kalahari Bushmen, who average only 5’ in height. South and central america have lots. Philippines, Indonesia, etc. Maybe even Japan, but probably not anymore.
Bottom line, there are more than a few, even black. And think about it: SAFP and Richardson are not only fast, they are some of the fastest EVER, even among tall women like Marion—and there are no Bolt/Witherspoon-equivalent 6’5” women sprinters. Yes there are a bunch, they are in volleyball and swimming.
Something about women vs men that favors short levers? Different neurology? I think Frater is probably the shortest/fastest guy, or maybe Su.
Shaunae Miller-Uibo is the female equivalent to bolt height wise. The best taller female athletes aren’t swimming tho lol. Horrible take. Maybe indoor volleyball I’ll give ya that. Basketball and soccer is where they are.
