151 by itself is a disaster.
but if you're coming back with mileage and rust it's not the end.
basically centro needs to progress to 149 in a few weeks and go from there.
he needs to show something like 336 in the 1500 in the next month, and then do a training block, speed and ramp up to the 331 1500m level, for the season....
this scenario is not the longest shot, but it's not the scenario you want needless to say.
basically if centro is feeling good and is healthy, he's got a shot.
for those that don't know anything about this, check out dave wottle's training before his gold in 72. everything went to hell in a hand basket, but he was able to get enough base work in and bring what fitness he had to a peak, at the perfect time and pulled it off.

also john walker in 76, had a lousy build up, and the beginning of the end was near (the top level)
for him as he had lower leg circulatory issues that would kill his finish, though he would remain a phenom for basic ability to run 58 second quarters, like 5 to 6 of them in a row.
the moral of the story is that if you can get in that base work, and not panic with doing too much,
and you peak right, you can pull it off.
