I think he would not have died had he not been on drugs. Had he not been on drugs he probably doesn't resist going in the police car. Had he not been on drugs he probably wouldn't have tried to pass funny money. Had he not been on drugs we wouldn't be hanging with known drug dealers.
Had he not had and extremely high level of drugs in his system there would not be the debate of an OD or murder/manslaughter.

The kernel of the prosecution case, reinforced by numerous police experts. The use of force by Chauvin was unreasonable. That is homicide. The defence can't refute it.
He didnt have the lethal dose of fentanyl- thats a myth.
If you're sure that Floyd died from Chauvin's knee and not because he took three times the fatal dose of fentanyl, please give your evidence to the prosecution. So far the state hasn't provided any evidence. If you have it, give it to the proper authorities at once!
It amazes me how some people will explain away outright murder. We can watch it from the beginning to the end and still find a way to justify it.

As you know through any conversations on LR were racial destinations exists, an argument could be made that the problem with most of these commenters is not they are hell bent on making it about drugs or a victim’s short comings. Think of it like this (I always find this telling). They are quick to tell you something isn’t about race and/or that race has nothing to do with something. Yet their knee jerk reaction and counter example is some occurrence where they feel the same thing is happening to a white person. If it was never about race their go to should be a situation were the same thing happens to a black person but THE OUTCOME is different!
Most commenters on these threads are looking for every possible reason to say that the white cop didn't kill the black man, and even that the black man brought his death upon himself. They are impervious to the horror of that video of 9'29". It says everything about their own attitudes and nothing about the facts of the case.

Exactly...the cop would have been tried, sentenced, and in jail all before yesterday. And we could all move on because justice wasn’t served.
(Even though I would argue that a black cop knows he could not remotely get away with any of this and would not this crap to a white person anyway)
Haven't the cops involved all been fired and living in jail? Isn't there a trail going on about the criminal aspect of this case?

The toxicology report shows he.had a lethal quantity of Fentanyl in his system together with other opioids. This would have caused respiratory depression and eventually killed him irrespective of the knee on his neck.
